Acudetox assists the client in being relaxed and enabling them to experience a sense of “letting go”. It fosters a release of tensions and apprehensions. The Acudetox treatment supports the recovery process by strengthening internal resolve and comfort through alleviating anxiety.
Acudetox significantly decreases cravings for alcohol and drugs, decreases withdrawal symptoms, anxiety, insomnia and agitation. It is effective regardless of the client’s level of motivation, and in fact, tends to increase the client’s readiness and willingness to participate in treatment.
Acudetox involves the gentle placement of 5 small, sterilized, disposable stainless steel needles in specific sites on each ear of client receiving treatment. It is recommended that treatments be received daily in the beginning stages, then tapering off in the later stages.
